BWPPA Tour Stop 2 – Birmingham Riley’s

28th – 29th April 2012

Playing on home soil has its advantages and disadvantages, however I always enjoy playing at Riley’s Birmingham.

My first match was against Craig Welsh, which I won 7 -4 playing ok.  I then faced Danny Luton who played some of the best pool I’ve seen him play for a while and he took a commanding 6 – 2 lead.  I dug deep and pulled the match back to hill – hill only to go on and lose the last game, all that hard work for nothing lol.  This put me on the one loss side where I met Phil Hendrickson.  I won this match 7 – 3 securing a semi final spot against Tony Southern.

There was a lot riding on this one as Tony could take my number 1 spot if he beat me.  The game was really tense which I think effected the quality of the match as neither of us played great.  Tony beat me 7 – 4 sending me to Number 2 in the rankings.
